VQ Juice promotes educational opportunities for student entrepreneurs

At VQ Juice, we strongly believe in giving back to the community in any way we can, which is why we were awarded the title of ‘Most Responsible Brand’ at the 2016 Chinese Public Welfare Festival.

Started in 2011, the Chinese Public Welfare Festival has become an ever more important vehicle for promoting the construction and development of public welfare undertakings in the past six years, so we were delighted to have the opportunity to become involved.

The title was awarded on the basis of our having made an outstanding contribution to education and talent training, a feat we are incredibly proud of. An affirmation and encouragement of our success, it was a real spur to the VQ team, who have always sought to fulfill the social responsibilities that we believe all big businesses should shoulder.

It is a part of our ethos to encourage enterprising spirit wherever we can, and we know that such an attitude usually stems from having had a good education to begin with. If we want to capitalize on the talent that’s out there, brands like ours must provide opportunities for young people to take advantage of.

This is why VQ’s juice bar franchise has focused on being more than just a successful business. We have always adopted the mentality that, in order to strengthen our team with the stars of the future, we must first teach people ‘how to fish’, so to speak.

In 2014, we acted upon this by becoming involved in a project to support university students. This not only provided store management support to individuals, but also outfitted young people with entrepreneurial ability training and helped students to reach graduation so that they could better fill top positions within our venture.

Rolling this programme out across over 40 stores in total, we invested around five million Chinese RMB, with a success rate of 95%.

We didn’t stop there. In 2016, we set up a number of student bases across China, to offer incentives and support to aspiring student entrepreneurs. Now, we have our eyes set on England, with the intention of rolling out multiple stores on new shores.

As committed as ever to creating opportunities for young people, we hope to be able to encourage student entrepreneurs to become a part of our juice franchise in the UK and to give them a great chance to flex their business muscles by becoming part of a big brand.
